8 Days 7 Nights
The Lemosho route is widely considered one of the best routes due to the scenic trails and panoramic vistas. Like Machame Route, Lemosho is a superb choice for a hiker due to the high summit success rate.
The route is newer and approaches Kilimanjaro from the west. The journey begins at Londorossi Gate and the route was introduced as a substitute to the Shira Route which trails starts from a higher, more challenging altitude.
Lemosho Route is a little wild and you may get to spot large buffalo, antelope, and maybe even elephant. The route is also home to some primates such as black and white colobus monkey, blue monkeys etc.
7 to 8 days hiking is recommended for good acclimatization.
The route starts from the west of Mount Kilimanjaro. It has many offers from wild animals such as buffalos, eland, Dick dick and monkeys with a view of shira plateau and cathedral peak. This route is less crowded in regards to other routes. It crosses from shira ridge to Shira 2 campsite, it comes to join with Machame route on day 4 before reaching lava tower, barranco ,karanga and barafu campsite which is known as the southern circuit. The minimum number of days on this route are seven 7 to eight days, we highly advise our clients/friends to take the eight days 8 trek so as to make them acclimatize and enjoy the scenario which is unforgettable and spectacular.
