Kilimanjaro Day Trip takes you through a forest reserve, where you can look out for Colobus Monkeys in the trees. Your hike through the beautifully rugged landscape of Shira Plateau starts at 3,500 m above sea level.
With the sounds, smells, and colours of Tanzania’s stunning wilderness you can also enjoy views of Kibo, Kilimanjaro’s highest peak, and its northern glaciers, when the weather permits. The vast plains of neighbouring Amboseli National Park in Kenya and the deep gorge of the Simba River enhance the beauty of the stunning mountain. The view from the Shira Crater is truly amazing as you can see the volcanic cones dotting the landscape below.

It is very nice to experience the climbing this trip is for you and you will experience some of the natural beauty an offer in Kilimanjaro, you will be picked from your accommodation and transferred Marangu gate of the National park, for this day you will effectively be doing the first day of the total climbing through the lush rainforest. From the Marangu gate accompanied by mountain guide and you will hike to mandara huts Stan altitude of 2720m. You will stop there for lunch and take a short walk to view maundi crater from there you will see the view of both the Mawenzi peak and Kibo peak. This hike is suitable for any one of average fitness.
