Ngorongoro Crater Day Trip takes you to descend down into the crater for a full day game drive inside the crater.
The crater is home to a high concentration of animals like leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. The crater is also the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as pride of lion that include the magnificent black-manned males. The pink flamingos and other colourful birds are also the main attraction of the park.
Lunch will be served at a picnic place in the middle of the wilderness. After plenty of time spent observing wildlife, we will take you back to your accommodation.
We start from Moshi Town just after breakfast and ride out of town to meet the Sanyajuu road leading to the western of the mountain. From sanyajuu town we will pass through the animal corridor where you will be able to see various animals crossing from Arusha National park to the western side of Kilimanjaro National park during the dry season, the corridor also offers a view of both Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. After the animal corridor we will come into view of a vast grassland plains with a population of Masai tribe practising pastoralism with large herds of cattle, sheep, goats and donkeys which are used as their means of transportation. KitendeniMasai village near the Tsavo National park will be our stop for the day and set camp. Here we will light a big camp fire where you will view the beautiful sunset and the back view of Mount Kilimanjaro. A delicious dinner will be served at camp and overnight.
